Williams Commends the election of David Ralston as next Speaker

LYONS (Dec. 17, 2009) – President Pro Tem Tommie Williams (R-Lyons) issued the following statement today regarding the election of David Ralston as the next Georgia Speaker of the House:

“David Ralston has been a well-respected legislator for 17 years.  I commend the House Caucus on their election of David Ralston as the next Speaker of the House.  David’s experience, knowledge and respect from throughout the legislature will enable us to move forward and work on the important issues for Georgians.  I look forward to working with him this next session.”
