ATLANTA (May 1, 2018) | Sen. Chuck Payne (R – Dalton) received an “A+” score from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Scorecard for his work during the 2017-2018 legislative session.
“The priorities set by the Chamber look at what the citizens and businesses of Georgia need most,” said Sen. Payne. “This year some of these priorities included health care, education and transportation, which all remain a top priority in the legislature each year. I’m glad that we were able to pass legislation to address these topics, as well as many others. I look forward to continue working with the Chamber to move important, meaningful legislation that will benefit small and large businesses as well as our citizens working and living in Georgia through our chamber next year.”
The Georgia Chamber of Commerce scores legislators based on their support and the success of legislative priorities, which are set prior to each legislative session. This year, Sen. Payne supported all 12 pieces of legislation that passed in the Georgia General Assembly.
