Wayne County Delegation Urges Congress to Oppose the Suspending of the Coal Ash Effluvia Rule

ATLANTA (October 2, 2017) | Sen. Blake Tillery (R – Vidalia), along with Rep. Chad Nimmer (R –Blackshear) and Rep. Bill Werkheiser (R – Glennville), sent a letter today to U.S. Sens. Johnny Isakson and David Perdue, and U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter urging them to oppose the recent decision by the Environmental Protection Agency to suspend the enforcement of coal ash effluvia rule.

Sen. Larry Walker Honored with Service Award by Georgia Military Officers Association

ATLANTA (September 28, 2017) | Sen. Larry Walker (R — Perry) was recently named the recipient of the LTC Joseph Barto Award by the Georgia Military Officers Association of America (GMOAA). The award was given to recognize Sen. Walker for his service and dedication to supporting our nation’s military in the state Senate, and especially for his efforts in passing Senate Bill 108, which created a Women Veterans Office in the Department of Veterans Service.
