ATLANTA (November 28, 2017) | The Cobb County Democrats recently awarded Sen. Michael Rhett (D – Marietta) as Cobb Legislator of the Year.
“I am so honored and humbled by this award,” said Sen. Rhett. “Since I began working in the legislature, I have put the citizens of Georgia’s needs at the forefront of my political agenda. I know that so many impactful decisions are made each day throughout the state and I work hard to make sure that I am a voice to people that may not think they are heard. I am so grateful for this award and I look forward to continuing serving the 33rd District and the state of Georgia as we approach the 2018 legislative session.”
Sen. Rhett was given this award at the Cobb County Democratic Committee’s Believe in Blue Gala & Awards Dinner, held on September 30, 2017.
