ATLANTA (January 6, 2011) – The Senate Committee on Assignments released the following statement today:
“The Committee on Assignments has met on numerous occasions, for some 30 hours, to determine committee assignments for the 2011-12 term of the General Assembly. We have given this process the serious attention to detail it deserves. The meetings have been quite lengthy and extremely productive, with each member having substantial input. The Committee continues to work and will begin meeting with individual Senators on Monday to review assignments.”
