ATLANTA (October 2, 2013) – Senator Josh McKoon (R – Columbus) was recently named to Leadership Georgia’s Class of 2014. This statewide leadership program provides participants with the opportunity to network and develop the skills necessary for successful careers in both the public and private sector.
“I am honored to be selected for one of Georgia’s most notable leadership training programs,” said Senator McKoon. “As part of Leadership Georgia’s Class of 2014, I look forward to working with other statewide leaders in finding positive solutions to the issues facing our state.”
Affiliated with the Georgia Chamber, Leadership Georgia seeks to develop a strong network of young professionals from a diversity of occupations, including business, not-for-profit organizations and statewide elected officials. To be selected for Leadership Georgia’s comprehensive training program, applicants must undergo a highly-competitive application and interview process, and only 63 participants are selected for membership each year.
The next Leadership Georgia Class will run from January to December 2014. As part of the program, participants will meet five times during the year at various locations throughout the state. Each two and a half day session will allow participants to gain perspective on how to confront the issues affecting the state and share opportunities for a brighter future.
