ATLANTA (December 10, 2013) –Sen. Hunter Hill (R-Smyrna) received the 2013 Legislative Service Award from the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) at the Cobb County Board of Commissioners’ meeting on December 10, 2013.“It was an honor to be recognized by the ACCG for my work during the 2013 Legislative Session,” said Senator Hunter Hill. “I look forward to my continued partnership with ACCG and our shared commitment toward strengthening Georgia communities.”
Each year, the ACCG presents the Legislative Service Award to elected officials who demonstrate outstanding commitment to county governments while also advancing ACCG initiatives during the legislative session.
“ACCG applauds Sen. Hill for his work at the Capitol on behalf of Georgia’s citizens,” said ACCG Executive Director Ross King. “We are honored to present him with a Legislative Service Award in order to recognize him for his dedication to public service.”
Founded in 1914, the ACCG works to strengthen Georgia’s counties through legislative and public policy advocacy, civic and community engagement initiatives, insurance and retirement programs and leadership development.
