ATLANTA (May 12, 2020) | On Saturday, Sen. Gail Davenport (D – Jonesboro) will join the New Testament Gospel Worldwide Ministries (NTG) as part of their COVID-19 Relief Day. Designated by the Georgia Department of Public Health as a COVID-19 testing site, NTG plans to provide community members with the opportunity for drive-thru testing, as well as to receive face masks, gloves, food items and more.
“It is my absolute pleasure to stand in support of a group, and a community, that has come together to show so much strength during these challenging times,” said Sen. Davenport. “This virus has undoubtedly left a heavy burden on so many residents, whether it be in terms of their health or their financial viability. But in the midst of it all, hardworking members of this state have stepped up to the table to care for one another. With the help of these individuals, we will overcome this and it has been both an inspiration to see and a blessing to be a part of.”
NTG is an interdenominational church that is located in Rex, Georgia. From 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020, members will join community partners and businesses to provide essential items to Clayton County and surrounding counties.
