ATLANTA (January 8, 2015) | Senator-elect Greg Kirk (R – Americus) was appointed to serve as Deputy Whip of the Senate Majority Caucus by Senate Majority Whip, Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega). He will serve during the upcoming biennial legislative term of the Georgia General Assembly. In this role, Senator-elect Kirk’s primary responsibility will be to assist the Majority Whip with researching legislation, educating and informing caucus members, and ensuring a full caucus presence during important legislative votes.

The 153rd Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly will convene on January 12, 2015, at the Georgia State Capitol.
