ATLANTA (January 26, 2016) | Senator Bruce Thompson (R – White) met with Keep Bartow Beautiful advocates today and delivered a public service announcement in support of their initiatives and efforts
Keep Bartow Beautiful, along with other Keep Georgia Beautiful affiliates, traveled to the Capitol today to recruit General Assembly members for their “Leaders Against Litter” campaign. Sen. Thompson joined in to record a PSA and show his support.
“Because Bartow is one of Georgia’s fastest growing counties and tourism in our area continues to increase year after year, it is important to keep our home presentable,” said Sen. Thompson. “We have an obligation to maintain our state’s greatest natural beauties like Red Top Mountain and preserve our county’s assets for future generations.”
As a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Keep Bartow Beautiful works to preserve the natural beauty and historic substance of Bartow County. They hold monthly public meetings to inform and educate citizens, encourage environmentally friendly, community centered activities, and recruit local volunteers to help support their county’s goals and projects.
Other objectives that Keep Bartow Beautiful supports include waste reduction, composting, education and beautification. For more information on how to get involved, please contact KBB Coordinator, Sheri Henshaw, at hensaws@bartowga.org.
