ATLANTA (December 15, 2016) | Senator Bruce Thompson (R – White) was named the Technology Association of Georgia’s Technology Legislator of the Year on December 14, 2016, for his support and understanding of Georgia’s technology issues and industry.
“I am humbled to have been chosen as the recipient for Legislator of the Year from the Technology Association of Georgia,” said Sen. Thompson. “I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues in the Senate to better understand the needs of the technology industry in our state. This understanding will allow us to continue to grow and recruit top talent.”
“In his first year as the Senate Science and Technology Chair, Senator Thompson has diligently worked with technology industry leaders to hear testimony on important pieces of legislation to the industry, including data & cyber security. He is an IT professional, who understands the industry and has shown a willingness to move the industry forward with consumers, education and small businesses. These are the pillars of a Technology Legislator of the year,” said Tino Mantella, president and CEO of the Technology Association of Georgia.
