Senate Press Office Announces New Director and Deputy Director

ATLANTA (September 27, 2023) | The Georgia Senate’s Committee on Administrative Affairs has unanimously selected Evan Bergwall, III as the new Director of the Senate Press Office. This announcement was made today by Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy (R – Macon).

“We are thrilled to welcome Evan Bergwall onboard as the Director of the Senate Press Office,” stated Senate President Pro Tempore Kennedy. “Evan brings over a decade in experience and expertise in political communication. We trust in his ability to uphold the Senate’s reputation and ensure precise and prompt communication on behalf of all Senate members.”

“Lexi Juliani will now serve as the Deputy Director of the Senate Press Office, with a focus on the Senate’s broadcasting operations,” said Sen. Kennedy. “Lexi previously served as the Interim Director and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication during her tenure.” He added, “Our dedicated Senate team plays a pivotal role in all our endeavors at the Gold Dome. Under Evan’s direction, we anticipate a series of remarkable achievements from the Senate Press Office.”

The Senate Press Office stands as the official nonpartisan hub for press and media relations for the Georgia Senate. They take the lead in drafting and circulating press releases, media advisories, and columns, as well as penning opinion pieces for all 56 Senators upon request.
