ATLANTA (June 19, 2013) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, has awarded Senate Minority Leader Steve Henson (D-Tucker) with the 2013 Technology Legislator of the Year Award. This is given annually to lawmakers who demonstrate superior support and understanding of Georgia’s technology issues and industry.
“As we look for innovative ways to create new jobs and businesses in a modern economy, TAG has been an essential partner,” said Sen. Henson. “I look forward to continuing to walk with them as we strive to rebuild our state’s economy.”

The Technology Association of Georgia serves more than 19,500 members and hosting over 200 events each year. TAG serves as an umbrella organization for 32 industry societies, each of which provides rich content for TAG constituents. TAG’s mission is to educate, promote, influence and unite Georgia’s technology community to foster an innovative and connected marketplace that stimulates and enhances a tech-based economy.
