ATLANTA (July 16, 2026) — Senate Majority Leader Jason Anavitarte (R–Dallas) today announced the appointment of Caleb Rudin as his new Chief of Staff, effective July 16.
Rudin joins the Majority Leader’s office after serving as Manager of State Affairs for the American Chemistry Council, where he represented the chemical manufacturing industry before state legislatures across a 12-state region in the Southeast. In that role, he advocated on issues impacting manufacturing, American competitiveness, energy and infrastructure. He also served as an expert on policy panels and regularly engaged with regulatory agencies on legislative matters.
“Caleb brings a unique combination of legislative experience, policy expertise and strategic leadership to this role,” said Majority Leader Anavitarte. “He understands both the legislative process and the issues that matter most to Georgia families. Having previously served on staff in the Georgia Senate, he knows this institution well, and I have every confidence he will be an outstanding asset to our office and to the members of the Senate Republican Caucus.”
Before joining the American Chemistry Council, Rudin worked in both the public and private sectors, including leadership roles on political campaigns. He also served as Political Director for former Lieutenant Governor Butch Miller’s 2022 campaign. Earlier in his career, Rudin held multiple positions in the Georgia State Senate, including serving as Legislative Aide to the Senate Ethics Committee, where he supported members on legislative, policy and political matters.
“I’m honored to return to the Georgia State Senate and serve Majority Leader Anavitarte in this new capacity,” said Rudin. “I look forward to working alongside the members of the Senate Republican Caucus and our dedicated staff as we continue advancing policies that strengthen Georgia’s economy, protect our communities and keep our state the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
A native of Canton, Georgia, Rudin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Georgia. He and his wife are raising their four children in Cherokee County, where they are active members of St. Michael’s Church in Woodstock and are actively involved in their local community.
Rudin succeeds Ben Jarrard, who is departing the Senate to pursue an opportunity in the private sector. During his tenure as Chief of Staff, Jarrard played an instrumental role in advancing the Majority Leader’s legislative priorities and supporting the work of the Senate Republican Caucus.
“Ben has been a trusted advisor and a valued member of our team,” Anavitarte said. “His leadership, professionalism and commitment to public service have made a lasting impact on this office and the Georgia Senate. I am grateful for his years of dedicated service and wish him nothing but success in this next chapter.”
