Senate Bill 89 Passes Senate Ethics Committee

ATLANTA (February 18, 2021) | This morning, the Senate Ethics Committee favorably reported Senate Bill 89, sponsored by President Pro Tempore Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) out of committee.

“Georgians of all stripes have lost faith in the integrity of the elections process. Senate Bill 89 would rectify this loss of faith by establishing an Elections Assistance Officer, a trained elections expert who could come in and clean up many of our perpetually poor-performing elections offices. This is a common sense bill which addresses a serious problem in our state. I am proud to have authored it.”
