ATLANTA (June 30, 2014) | Sen. Vincent Fort (D- Atlanta) will join community leaders and civil rights activists, TOMORROW, July 1, 2014 at 7 p.m. to call on the City of Thomaston to fire Officer Phillip Tobin, who is on paid leave after he tasered a local citizen earlier this month. Tobin has an astonishing record of citizen complaints going back many years.
Surveillance footage of the incident contradicts police reports. Concerns citizens are encouraged to join Sen. Fort as he demands justice for the citizens of Thomaston who received unjust treatment at the hands of Officer Tobin.
