State Senator Vincent Fort (D-Atlanta) and the Atlanta Fighting Foreclosure Coalition will hold a press conference on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 10:00 a.m. to tell Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo to “stop being the Grinch who stole Christmas.” Sen. Fort and the Foreclosure Coalition have been working in the Atlanta metro area to end the practice of predatory lending. Homeowners facing foreclosures and eviction will also be attending the press conference and are available for interviews.
“We will not stop until changes are made,” said Sen. Fort. “We are working to end the vicious cycle of predatory lending and foreclosures for 2010. Christmas is the time when homeowners should be focused on their families and friends, and not on foreclosures and evictions.”
