ATLANTA (December 12, 2012) – Senator Ross Tolleson (R-Perry) hosted Kissing Childhood Cancer Goodbye on Monday to benefit the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The event was a great success; nearly doubling the initial goal of $20,000.
“I want to thank our sponsors, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and all the other parties responsible for making this event such a success,” said Sen. Tolleson. “It was a night devoted to the Aflac Cancer Center, a center which provides intimate care and assistance to our precious children while also mingling with colleagues. The research, innovative treatment options, and clinical care this center provides make me proud to lend a helping hand.”
The event was held at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga. and showcased singer Caylee Anna as the headliner. Sen. Tolleson was joined by colleagues and representatives of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to present the check for $20,000 to the Aflac Cancer Center.
