Sen. Randy Robertson Takes Oath of Office

ATLANTA (January 15, 2019) | On Monday, Jan. 14th, Sen. Randy Robertson (R – Cataula) was sworn in to serve the 29th Senate District by Justice Charles Bethel of the Georgia Supreme Court. Sen. Robertson represents Georgia’s 29th Senate District which includes parts of Muscogee and Troup counties and all of Harris and Meriwether counties. This marks the beginning of his two-year term in the Georgia Senate and the official beginning of the 2019 Georgia General Assembly.

“I am honored to serve the 29th Senate District and the citizens of this state,” said Sen. Robertson. “I am eager to get to work on causes I believe we all find important including protecting our men and women of law enforcement, finding solutions to the rural healthcare crisis and providing our students with the best education possible. I would not be here without the support of my predecessors, constituents and family, and I look forward to supporting policies that will ensure Georgia is the best place to live and work in the nation.”

Sen. Robertson is a 30-and-a-half year law enforcement veteran, retiring from the Muscogee County Sheriff’s office in 2015. Sen. Robertson is married to Theresa Garcia Robertson, who joined him at his swearing in ceremony.
