ATLANTA (August 10, 2016) | Sen. Larry Walker III (R – Perry) attended the 2016 Ag Issues Summit on Tuesday, August 9, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. Committee members from the Georgia Senate and House of Representatives, several agency commissioners and other stakeholders were present.
“It is an honor to be part of an important summit and discussion on agriculture,” said Sen. Walker. “Agriculture and water resources are critical for Georgia’s economic stability and growth. It was great to have all stakeholders together in one room, discussing programs, solutions and ways to make progress. A lot was accomplished but there is more work to be done to ensure that agriculture remains the driving economic force for our local communities.”
