Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick Attends Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities Police Explorer Class

ATLANTA (October 11, 2018) | Today, Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick (R – Marietta) attended the Sandy Springs Police Explorer Class for the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities ‘Take Your Legislator to Work’ day.

“It was such an honor to be invited to get an inside look at what these two programs are offering young men and women in Sandy Springs,” said Sen. Kirkpatrick. “The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities has created communities where citizens with disabilities can continue growing their knowledge and involvement in public policy by having opportunities like these to work with local agencies first-hand. Police Explorer offers these individuals a behind-the-scenes look at the duties of their local law enforcement and seeing the two programs partner was such an incredible opportunity.”
