ATLANTA (February 23, 2017) | Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa) on Wednesday recognized Anderson Dilworth, for his lifelong service and commitment to the Royston community and state of Georgia with Senate Resolution 218.
“I think the word great gets over used when describing people, but I cannot think of a better way to describe Mr. Dilworth,” said Sen. Wilkinson. “Many times when we talk about small businesses and the things we can do to help them, we look to successful individuals like Anderson for guidance. He is the epitome of what a small business owner should be. It was truly an honor to recognize him for the incredible work he has done for his community and the state of Georgia as well.”
SR 218 commends Mr. Dilworth for his organizational and leadership skills, his diplomacy, patience, vision and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state which has earned him the admiration and respect of his colleagues and associates. He was recognized as the Georgia Grocer of the Year in 1971 and is the current President of Dill’s Food City.
Senator Wilkinson was joined by Mr. Dilworth’s wife Joel and their three children Stan, Tracy and Melody.
