Sen. John Wilkinson Presents Sec. Sonny Perdue with Resolution Honoring Service

ATLANTA (October 27, 2017)  |  Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa), along with Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga), Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega) and Sen. Butch Miller (R – Gainesville), recently met with U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue in Washington, D.C., to present him with a resolution congratulating him on his recent cabinet appointment. They also met with Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, to discuss legislative initiatives in Georgia.

“It was an honor and privilege to meet with Sec. Perdue in Washington and to be able to thank him for all the hard work he is doing for the citizens of Georgia and the nation,” said Sen. Wilkinson. “Having our state represented on the national level by a dedicated Georgian is a point of pride for all of us. We sincerely appreciate all he is doing to promote our nation’s Ag interests and help our citizens live happy, healthy lives.”

The resolution presented to Sec. Perdue congratulated him on his appointment to President Donald J. Trump’s cabinet and past commitment to Georgia. Before his appointment to the presidential cabinet, Sec. Perdue served as a Senator in the Georgia Senate.

Sens. Wilkinson, Mullis, Gooch and Miller also presented Sec. Perdue with a resolution for President Trump, commending him on his dedication to keeping Americans safe and putting our national security at the forefront of his executive agenda.
