Sen. John Albers Condemns the Fulton County Commission for Irresponsible Actions

ATLANTA (September 8, 2014)  |  Last week Fulton County commissioners passed a resolution urging Sheriff Ted Jackson to stop cooperating with federal immigration authorities under a variety of conditions. Sen. John Albers (R-Roswell) strongly condemns the Fulton County Commission for their irresponsible actions.

“Our country faces serious threats from terrorists and criminals.  Fulton County is urging law enforcement to ignore the law and stop cooperating with federal authorities.  This action is irresponsible and continues an unconscionable pattern of behavior disregarding the law by Fulton County.  ” said Sen. Albers.  “This summer the citizens of Fulton County already have to fight an unlawful tax increase which will hurt families, senior citizens and job growth while costing millions in legal fees.  Now we are looking at a more dangerous Fulton County.  This is bad government at work and it is time for Fulton County to be accountable.”
