ATLANTA (January 16, 2018) | Out of around 10.4 million Georgians, Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) was again recognized as one of Georgia’s most influential people by Georgia Trend Magazine. The magazine’s annual list recognizes the 100 Most Influential Georgians, and this is Sen. Mullis’ 10th year in a row making the list. His tenure on Georgia Trends 100 Most Influential Georgians list is now the longest active in the Georgia Senate, and no other legislator has achieved this accomplishment in so many consecutive years.
“I am honored to once again be part of such a distinguished group of individuals,” said Sen. Mullis. “I love this state, and I am glad that I have been given the opportunity to make it the best it can be over the years. I look forward to the coming session and continuing to work for the citizens of my district and for Georgia as a whole. I am confident we will continue to lead our state in a positive direction.”
Sen. Mullis was given this distinction for his work in the Georgia Senate, where he has been a leader on countering illegal immigration, revamping transportation across the state, and addressing economic development issues. He serves as Chairman of the Rules Committee and as a member on the Appropriations, Economic Development and Tourism, and Regulated Industries and Utilities committees.
Georgia Trend releases their 100 Most Influential Georgians list annually. The list includes individuals who make a positive impact on the lives of Georgians and make decisions that affect the well-being of the state. Naming the top 100 is a year-round process and the final list includes those who “have exhibited the character necessary to inspire, challenge, lead – and influence us.”
