ATLANTA (November 15, 2017) |Sen. Gloria Butler (D – Stone Mountain) was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree from Trinity International University of Ambassadors, Organization of World Leaders and Trinity Girls Network. The award and hooding ceremony was held on Georgia’s Humanitarian Day, Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the state Capitol.
“I am humbled and honored to be recognized on Georgia’s Humanitarian Day,” said Sen. Butler. “I am thankful for everything these organizations do to give back to our community. Without your service, we would not be where we are today. I’d also like to congratulate the other recipients and thank them for all they have done for our great state. I look forward to serving in the General Assembly for years to come and helping to make a lasting impact on our communities.”
Georgia’s Humanitarian Day is a day set aside by the state of Georgia to encourage citizens to lead lives of service, to work together for the betterment of the community and to give themselves to improve our nation.
