ATLANTA (November 3, 2017) | Sen. Emanuel Jones (D – Decatur) has been invited as the keynote speaker at the Gusi Peace Prize International in Manila, Philippines, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
“I am exceedingly proud to have been invited to speak at the Gusi Peace Prize International in Manila,” said Sen. Jones. “As the immediate past President of the Gusi Peace Prize International, I know first-hand the lengths this organization goes to recognize those who have made a significant difference in our world. So much good in this world goes unrecognized, but the Gusi Peace Prize shines a light on individuals from all over the world each year from fields ranging from human rights, to literature and everything in between. I am proud to have been recognized by Gusi Peace Prize to participate in this very special event.”
The Gusi Peace Prize is a Philippines-based organization whose mission is “to champion human rights and maintain governance, democracy, equality, international peace and goodwill.” The organization uses Gusi as an acronym which stands for Godliness, Unification, Service and Internationalism.
