ATLANTA (May 3, 2018) | Sen. Emanuel Jones (D – Decatur) recently received an “A+” grade on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s legislative scorecard for his work during the 2017-2018 legislative session. State legislators receive grades based on their support of the Chamber’s priorities throughout the legislative session.
“The Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s efforts in enhancing the economic viability of communities throughout Georgia cannot be overstated,” said Sen. Jones. “Our strong business climate combined with new healthcare and regional transit initiatives will cement Georgia’s reputation as the best state in the nation to do business. I am honored to receive this recognition from the Georgia Chamber and will do everything I can to continue fighting for the working families of Georgia.”
The Georgia Chamber assigns grades to state legislators based on how well they represented the Chamber’s legislative priorities throughout the legislative session. This year, the Chamber’s priorities included legislation dealing with economic development, transit and health care. Sen. Jones supported many of the Chamber’s 12 priorities for the 2017-2018 Legislative Session.
