ATLANTA (February 3, 2017) | Sen. Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) honored the career of Dallas Gay with the presentation of Senate Resolution 13 in the Senate yesterday.
“It is an honor to recognize Dallas,” said Sen. Miller. “He serves our community and state with commendable leadership. His commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia is exemplary and we should all strive to emulate his life of public service.”
Dallas Gay was instrumental in the “Think About It” campaign, a public education program emphasizing steps to prevent medication abuse. He promotes the Georgia 911 Medical Amnesty/Naloxone Law. This law provides immunity from certain arrests, charges and prosecution for those seeking medical assistance for a drug overdose. It also allows persons acting in good faith to administer an opioid antagonist to a person who may be suffering from an overdose.
