ATLANTA (May 17, 2021) | Senate Resolution 185, sponsored by Sen. Burt Jones (R – Jackson), will be presented to the students and teachers involved in the community Art for Life Exhibition on May 19, 2021, at the Morgan County Alternative Education Program school building. SR 185 will recognize and commend Art for Life: Building Creativity, Community and Connection, which is a youth development program designed to merge art experiences with important developmental skills.
“As the legislative session ended, I was truly excited to witness the passage of SR 185,” said Sen. Jones. “It has been a great experience to learn about the extraordinary endeavors the Madison Artist Guild and the Art for Life Exhibition has engaged in for their community. It is a blessing to witness students come together and create stunning art exhibits while also seeing the tremendous support that is overflowing from the community. It is programs like these that allow students to explore their interest and get hands-on experience in things they are passionate about.”
The Madison Artists Guild, Art for Life program offers quality education for the young people in its community and helps to instill the importance of collaboratively working together to accomplish community goals.
