ATLANTA (February 28, 2019) | Sen. Bruce Thompson (R – White) issued the following statement on the Heartbeat Bill:

Sen. Thompson is sponsoring Senate Bill 218, or the “Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act,” which would allow all living beings, including the unborn, to be included in the state’s population. The bill would also require physicians to determine whether or not an unborn child has a heartbeat, and if so, prevents physicians from performing an abortion.
