President Pro Tempore Butch Miller Releases Statement on SK Battery

ATLANTA (April 1, 2021) | Today, President Pro Tempore Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) released the following statement on the SK Battery.

“Though there is much to still be decided, I am pleased to see the U.S. Trade Commission support SK Battery in its patent decision and am proud of our support of the many Georgians whose jobs depend on a favorable settlement of SK’s trade secrets dispute with rival LG. I am proud to have authored Senate Resolution 201, a bipartisan measure which praises SK’s plans to build a $2.6 billion factory that will employ nearly 2,600 people, the largest foreign investment in the state’s history. Whatever corporate malfeasance may or may not have taken place, we all need hard-working, industrious Georgians with good paying jobs to keep their employment. That’s in the state’s interest, and it’s in Georgians’ interest.”
