ATLANTA (January 2, 2013) – Sen. Gail Davenport (D-Jonesboro) has been named the 2013-2014 Chair of the Clayton County Legislative Delegation, where she served as vice chairwoman for the delegation during the 2011-2012 term.
“I’m deeply honored by the support of the delegation for their vote of confidence in me to serve as their chairwoman, and as a resident of Clayton County since my early childhood, I’m blessed to have this opportunity to represent the people I’ve lived and worked beside,” said Sen. Davenport. “My goal for our delegation is to continue to be the faithful voice of our constituents here at the Capitol. Together we can overcome challenges and get the necessary tasks done to best serve our county.”
