ATLANTA (February 4, 2016)  |  Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega) has filed legislation to create the Joint High-Speed Broadband Communications Access for All Georgians Study Committee. If approved by the Georgia General Assembly, Senate Resolution 876 will meet several times throughout the summer and fall of 2016 to discuss common obstacles for high-speed broadband internet, particularly in the state’s rural communities. Sen. Steve Gooch Elected to Serve as Senate Majority Whip

ATLANTA (November 17, 2014)  |  Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega) was elected to serve as Majority Whip of the Senate Republican Caucus for the upcoming biennial legislative term of the Georgia General Assembly. In this role, Sen. Gooch’s primary responsibility will be to research legislation, educate and inform caucus members, and ensure a full caucus presence during important legislative votes. Sen. Steve Gooch Selected to Serve on Governor’s Severe Weather Warning Task Force

ATLANTA (February 3, 2014) – Gov. Nathan Deal has appointed Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega), chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, to the state’s newly-created Severe Weather Warning Task Force. The group will be charged with reviewing Georgia’s emergency protocols and finding new approaches to prepare and inform Georgians of impending severe weather. Continue reading “Sen.
