ATLANTA (February 24, 2012) –The Georgia Senate passed SB 372 today in a unanimous vote. Sponsored by Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford), this legislation would require funeral directors to make a reasonable effort to determine whether the deceased is a veteran.

ATLANTA (January 31, 2012) – Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford) will participate in a press conference on Wednesday February 1, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. as part of the “Stop the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Lobby Day” at the Georgia State Capitol. Sen. Unterman will be joined by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Attorney General Sam Olens, Rep. Edward Lindsey, and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

WHAT: State Sen. ATLANTA (January 28, 2011) – State Senator Renee Unterman has joined forces with WABE News, PBA’s civic engagement website Public Square Atlanta.org and PBA30 to bring awareness to child sex trafficking in Atlanta with a one- hour special How To Stop The Candy Shop.
