Sen. Orrock Joins U.S. Rep. John Conyers in Support of Universal Health Care Legislation

ATLANTA (May 29, 2009) – Sen. Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta) this week joined U.S. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) in a series of events around Atlanta to encourage support for Sen. Conyers’ universal health care bill (House Resolution 676). Dubbed “health care for all” legislation, the bill would create a publicly financed, privately delivered health care system that improves and expands the already existing Medicare program to all U.S. residents. Heath: State Park Changes Unfortunate but Necessary to Protect Vital Services

BREMEN (May 28, 2009) – Three of northwest Georgia’s state-run historic sites will see significant changes this summer as part of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) restructuring efforts. As part of this restructuring, the Pickett’s Mill Battlefield site in Dallas, Etowah Indian Mounds site in Cartersville and Red Top Mountain Lodge in Cartersville are on the list of affected parks.
