Sen. Clint Dixon Introduces Legislation Codifying Federal Income Tax Program

ATLANTA (February 4, 2026) — On Monday, Sen. Clint Dixon (R–Mulberry) introduced Senate Bill 446, legislation that would codify Georgia’s participation in the federal school choice tax program. This program allows individuals to receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $1,700 per individual or $3,400 per couple, per year, for donations made to a Scholarship Granting Organization.

Sen. Donzella James and Rep. Terry Cummings to Host Second Annual City of Mableton Day at the Capitol

ATLANTA (January 30, 2026) — On Monday, February 2, Sen. Donzella James (D–Atlanta) and Rep. Terry Cummings (D–Mableton) will host the second annual City of Mableton Day at the Capitol.

There will also be a breakfast at 9 a.m. in room 125 of the Georgia State Capitol.

Sen. Jason T. Dickerson Introduces Legislation to Expand Housing Eligibility for Disabled Veterans

ATLANTA (January 29, 2026) — Earlier this week, Sen. Jason T. Dickerson introduced Senate Bill 429, legislation that would limit monthly income requirements for 100% totally disabled veterans seeking to qualify for housing. Known as the Housing for Heroes Act, the bill would prohibit landlords from requiring income levels exceeding twice a tenant’s monthly rent.

ATLANTA (January 28, 2026) —Tomorrow, January 29, Sen. Brian Strickland will hold a press conference on his introduction of Rio’s Law, which would allow for the creation of special license plates for cars carrying occupants with autism.
