Sen. Orrock Joined with Other Lawmakers Urging Shut Down the Shutdown
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 1, 2013) – Sen. Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta) joined with Sen. Gail Davenport (D-Jonesboro) and Sen. Gloria Butler (D-Stone Mountain) and others on September 30th on the steps of the U.S. State Capitol to call on Congress to work together and get back to business doing the work of the people. The group is part of Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND) and its program, the Women Legislators’ Lobby (WiLL), a national nonpartisan network of women state legislators. Sen. Orrock serves as President of WiLL and on the advisory board of Georgia WAND.
