Results from the Special Session

ATLANTA (November 28, 2018)  | The Georgia General Assembly was ordered by Governor Deal to convene for a Special Legislative Session beginning on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. The purpose of the special session was to allocate money from the fiscal year 2019 amended budget to go towards relief efforts in southwest Georgia, where Hurricane Michael devastated acres of land and infrastructure. Resolution Encouraging Federal Action on Parental Rights Passes Senate Floor

ATLANTA (March 1, 2018)  | Senate Resolution 681, sponsored by Sen. Marty Harbin (R – Tyrone), passed the Senate Floor on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. This resolution urges the United States Congress to take action on the Parental Rights Amendment allowing parents to raise their children with minimal governmental interference.
