ATLANTA (November 21, 2019) | Senator Elena Parent (D – Atlanta) joins a group of state and local officials from across the United States to launch an education initiative today that will develop and implement a state and local policy agenda that better prepares students for college and the workforce. Co-chaired by Sen. Sen. Elena Parent to Host Georgia Peach Quilt Exhibition
ATLANTA (August 6, 2018) | Sen. Elena Parent (D – Atlanta) and Rep. Deborah Gonzalez (D – Athens) will host an exhibition of the Georgia Peach Quilt on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia Capitol Rotunda. The program will include a presentation of a resolution to Shannon Lawhon of Moms Demand Action, an organization created to raise awareness on gun safety. The organization created the Mother’s Dream Quilt Project as a commitment to making our communities safer, with the Georgia Peach Quilt being one of 17 quilts created so far. Continue reading “Sen.
