Sen. Max Burns Celebrates Approval of Daniel Field Airport Rehabilitation Project

ATLANTA (December 9, 2025) — Today, Sen. Max Burns (R–Sylvania) celebrated the approval of the Daniel Field Airport rehabilitation project. Administered by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the project includes a taxiway update, an update to the airport layout plan, the removal of airport obstructions and an environmental assessment of the airport, along with additional improvements to Daniel Field Airport in the City of Augusta.

 Senate Study Committee on Higher Education Affordability Adopts Final Committee Report

ATLANTA (December 3, 2025— The Senate Study Committee on Higher Education Affordability, chaired by Sen. Nan Orrock (D–Atlanta), has voted unanimously to adopt its final report, offering key recommendations to address higher education affordability across Georgia institutions.
