ATLANTA (February 23, 2023) | Today, Senator Max Burns (R – Sylvania) and Representative Mark Newton (R – Augusta) introduced Senate Bill 231, which would allow for citizens of Augusta-Richmond County to decide by vote whether or not the Mayor of Augusta-Richmond County would serve as a voting member on the Augusta-Richmond County Commission.

Sen. Elena Parent Introduces Legislation to Reduce Gun Violence in the State of Georgia

ATLANTA (February 17, 2023) | On Monday, Sen. Elena Parent (D – Atlanta) spoke at a press conference addressing potential legislation surrounding gun safety. The press conference, held by the Democratic Caucus of the Georgia General Assembly and Moms Demand Action, discussed the need for further gun regulations in the state of Georgia. In her speech, Sen. Parent highlighted two bills that she sponsored that would reduce gun violence, Senate Bill 33 and Senate Bill 75.
