Senate Study Committee on Certificate of Need (CON) Reform to Hold First Meeting

ATLANTA (June 12, 2023) | Tomorrow, the Senate Study Committee on Certificate of Need (CON) Reform, chaired by Senator Greg Dolezal (R – Cumming), will be holding its first meeting at 9:00 a.m. in 450 CAP. The Senate Study Committee on CON Reform was established through the passage of Senate Resolution 279, sponsored by Chairman Dolezal during the 2023 Georgia Legislative Session. The committee has been tasked with reviewing the state of the Certificate of Need program in Georgia. The committee will hold a series of meetings throughout the state, with future meeting dates to be announced at a later time. Sen. Max Burns Commends Governor Kemp for Community Violence Reduction Grant Awards

ATLANTA (June 12, 2023) | Last week, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that he has made preliminary grant awards totaling more than $83.5 million for 118 qualified projects that improve community-level public safety measures and address law enforcement staffing challenges that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic.
