ATLANTA (March 15, 2012) – We are now in the final stretch of the 2012 session. At the end of the 10th week, we have completed 33 legislative days. The Senate is now reviewing House bills and the 2013 Fiscal Year budget as Sine Die – the last day of session – quickly approaches.
ATLANTA (March 14, 2012) – Sen. Lindsey Tippins (R-Marietta) sponsored HB 706 in the Senate today. This legislation deletes obsolete, unused and unnecessary provisions relating to elementary and secondary education within the Title 20 code. HB 706 passed with a vote of 39-11.
ATLANTA (March 13, 2012) – Lt. Governor Casey Cagle and Senator Rick Jeffares (R-Locust Grove) welcomed Pastor Todd Hilton to serve as the Chaplain of the Day on March 13, 2012 in the State Senate.
ATLANTA (March 12, 2012) – Sen. Jesse Stone (R-Waynesboro) presented HB 110 to standardize state-wide vacant property registries in the Senate today. The bill passed with a vote of 33-15.
