Senate Passes Bill Amending Dog Control Judicial Processes and Owner Responsibilities
ATLANTA (February 10, 2014) | The Georgia State Senate passed Senate Bill 290 yesterday by a vote of 50 to 3. Sen. Dean Burke (R- Bainbridge) sponsored this legislation to amend jurisdiction of dangerous or vicious dogs by allowing local governments to designate multiple individuals as dog control officers and clarifies owner responsibilities when a dog is deemed dangerous or vicious.
