Fran Millar (R-Atlanta) as the recipient of the organization’s annual “Legislator of the Year” award for his service to the Georgia State Senate. Sen. Millar is a strong advocate for Georgia’s business community and has earned an A+ rating on the last three Georgia Chamber legislative scorecards.

Sen. Vincent Fort to Call on US Attorney to Investigate SWAT Raid that Left Infant Severely Injured

Phonesavanh Family Attorney Mawuli Davis and Others will Join Sen. Fort

ATLANTA (June 3, 2014)  |  Sen. Vincent Fort (D- Atlanta) will join Mawuli Davis, the Phonesavanh family attorney of the injured infant, TODAY, June 3, 2014 at 2 p.m.  to deliver a letter to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia Sally Yates. National Leadership Program Announces Augusta Chapter Graduates

AUGUSTA (May 23, 2014) |  Sen. Hardie Davis (Augusta) and the New Leaders Council – Augusta Chapter congratulates the Inaugural Fellows Class on the successful completion of the New Leaders Council Institute.  A graduation ceremony will be held at Jim Hudson Lexus (3520 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30909) on Sunday, May 25 at 3:00 p.m. The fourteen graduates hosted a highly successful fundraising event, “Movers, Shakers and Change Makers,” on Saturday, May 3, and will also present capstone projects on Saturday, May 24. Senator Cecil Staton Announces Resignation from the State Senate

ATLANTA (May 22, 2014)  |  Sen. Cecil Staton ( R- Macon) announced today that he has submitted to Governor Nathan Deal a letter of resignation from the State Senate effective midnight, May 31, 2014. Sen. Nan Orrock Leads Push For Reasonable Pentagon Spending Cuts

nanATLANTA (May 16, 2014) |  State Senator Nan Grogan Orrock (D-Atlanta) joined Rep. Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta), Rep. Keisha Waites (D-Atlanta), and Rep. Simone Bell (D-Atlanta) in a meeting with Congressman David Scott (D-GA13) to present him with a letter signed by twenty-two Georgia women legislators.
