ATLANTA (March 5, 2014) | Yesterday, Sen. Lester Jackson (D- Savannah) led the passage of Senate Bill 103 out of the State Senate with a vote of 32-19. SB 103 will allow Savannah to extend the St. Patrick’s Day holiday to incorporate one Sunday during the annual celebration.
ATLANTA (March 6, 2015) | A resolution creating a study committee to examine the creation of a statewide cyber challenge has passed the Senate Science and Technology committee and will proceed in the legislative process. The resolution is sponsored by Senator Harold Jones II (D – Augusta).

ATLANTA (March 3, 2015) | Sen. Albers (R- Roswell) led the passage of Senate Bill 89, known as the “Digital Classroom Act,” today by a vote of 45 to 8. ATLANTA (March 3, 2015) | Senate Bill 72, which determines new punishments for harming or killing a law enforcement animal, passed the Georgia State Senate on Friday, February 20. The legislation is also called “Tanja’s Law” after a Walker County K-9 who was killed in June 2014. Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) was the bill’s sponsor, which passed by a vote of 46 to 3.
