Sen. Lester Jackson Leads Passage of St. Patrick’s Day Legislation through State Senate

ATLANTA (March 5, 2014) | Yesterday, Sen. Lester Jackson (D- Savannah) led the passage of Senate Bill 103 out of the State Senate with a vote of 32-19.  SB 103 will allow Savannah to extend the St. Patrick’s Day holiday to incorporate one Sunday during the annual celebration.

Sen. John Albers Leads Passage of the Digital Classroom Act

ATLANTA (March 3, 2015) | Sen. Albers (R- Roswell) led the passage of Senate Bill 89, known as the “Digital Classroom Act,” today by a vote of 45 to 8. “Tanja’s Law” Receives Approval from the Georgia Senate

 ATLANTA (March 3, 2015) |  Senate Bill 72, which determines new punishments for harming or killing a law enforcement animal, passed the Georgia State Senate on Friday, February 20. The legislation is also called “Tanja’s Law” after a Walker County K-9 who was killed in June 2014. Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) was the bill’s sponsor, which passed by a vote of 46 to 3.
