albers2ATLANTA (September 29, 2014) | Last week, Senator John Albers (R –Roswell) welcomed Ed Klass, owner of Southern Sprinkler Systems, LCC., and his family to the State Capitol to recognize their work with the Renewal and Remembrance Program at Arlington National Cemetery.

“Our nation was founded on the principle of service and Mr. Klass and his company truly embodies a selfless organization focused on giving back to these United States,” said Sen. Albers.  “I would like to applaud him, his family, and company for donating their time and talents to keeping Arlington National Cemetery the truly unique and historic place it is today.  Thousands of our service men and women have found eternal rest at the special cemetery and I’m grateful we have individuals like Mr. Klass who are dedicated to keeping the hallowed grounds pristine.”

Southern Sprinkler Systems, LLC participated for the 10th consecutive year in the Renewal & Remembrance Program at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.  During this year’s Renewal & Remembrance Program, Southern Sprinkler Systems’ volunteers worked around the administration building and on the turf area below the Tomb of the Unknowns.  Mr. Klass and his employees are committed to preserving Arlington National Cemetery as a national treasure and to showing respect and thanks to Americans who have given everything for our nation.

Each year hundreds of volunteers, who are members of the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), come from across the nation to Arlington National Cemetery to give a day of service to their country. Through the Renewal & Remembrance Program, volunteers from around the country work together to help beautify the grounds at Arlington National Cemetery. The Renewal & Remembrance Program started in 1997 and has grown to involve more than 400 adults and 40 children who are PLANET members and their families and company employees.
