Sen. Bruce Thompson Recognizes Big Door Vineyards at the State Capitol

ATLANTA (February 25, 2019) | This morning, Sen. Bruce Thompson (R – White) presented a Senate Resolution recognizing Big Door Vineyards and its success at the local, state and national level. Ray Parker, Shay Kauffman and Rodney Alldredge were present to receive Senate Resolution 25 in the Senate Chamber of the Georgia Capitol.

“I was proud to recognize a group of people whose hard work and drive has led to building a successful, local business from the ground up,” said Sen. Thompson. “Big Door Vineyards is not only known for its award-winning wines, but also for the sense of community and inspiration it has brought to Bartow and Cherokee Counties. Local businesses and the success they bring to our communities are what inspires other small businesses to open, and in turn bring about some of the greatest businesses in the industry. I am proud of the many accomplishments of Big Door Vineyards so far, and I know they will continue building upon their success in the years to come.”

Big Door Vineyards was awarded Best Georgia Grown Wine by the Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge for their Lenoir in 2018 and also received a gold medal for their Gold Lace blend in the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
