ATLANTA (December 12, 2013) – State Senator Bruce Thompson (R-Cartersville) was officially sworn into office to represent the 14th Senate District yesterday at the State Capitol. Sen. Thompson will serve portions of Cherokee, Bartow and Cobb Counties.
“I am deeply humbled for the opportunity to serve the constituents of the 14th Senate District,” said Sen. Bruce Thompson. “I look forward working with my colleagues in the General Assembly and am committed to making Georgia a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
Prior to being elected to the State Senate, Sen. Thompson contributed to his community by serving as Chairman of the Cartersville/Bartow Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Personnel at First Baptist Cartersville. He is also a successful entrepreneur and businessman and serves as an insurance agent at Allstate Insurance.
Sen. Thompson served four years in the United States Military as a tank commander. Sen. Thompson and his wife, Becky, reside in the Cartersville area along with their children Faith and Max.
